Head Coach - Part Time Big Spring Aquatic Club

Salary: $15-18/hour (depending on experience and level of commitment)

Experience: Swimming (coaching and/or competing): 4 years (Preferred)


The Big Spring Aquatics Club, a recreational swim team, is seeking a qualified Head Swim
Coach. We are looking for a Head Coach that is motivated to build upon and improve a strong
pre-existing swim team. Applicants should be willing to focus on technique as well as be excited
to work with kids ages 5-18. The Head Coach would work directly with the other coaches in
running daily practices and coming up with weekly lesson plans.


Practices will run 4 or 5 nights a week (5:15-7:15), with a minimal head coach commitment of 3
nights per week. Meets occur on variable Saturday mornings. We may be able to offer some
flexibility for work schedules for the right candidate.
A quality applicant would possess many (or all) of the following attributes:

1.Availability to attend most practices and Saturday meets
2.Charisma and excitement about coaching children and young adults
3.Prior swimming experience
4.Strong verbal communication skills
5.Ability to motivate and inspire youth
6.Current CPR/First Aid or Lifeguard Certification a plus (Not a Requirement)
7.Background and fingerprint check REQUIRED (cost of test to be paid for by team)

Assistant Coach - Part Time Aquatic Club of the West Shore

Aquatic Club of the West Shore (ACWS) is announcing 2 immediate openings for Assistant Coach in Lewisberry, PA in the Harrisburg area. 

Job Responsibility – Assistant Coach: Coaches will be responsible for between 4 – 12 hours of on-deck coaching per week, and may attend 1-4 weekend meets per month during competitive season. Hours will depend on swimmer registration numbers and coach availability. Must be willing to instruct both in the water and on the deck. ACWS goal is maximum 7-10 swimmers per coach during practice, depending on age and skill level.

The qualified candidate will have a love for the sport of swimming with a strong desire to build a team that values both sportsmanship AND fun! These positions are from September 2019 through February 2020. Candidates must be available starting September 4, 2019.

Qualifications: 
* Desire & passion for developing swimmers at a competitive level.
* Previous coaching and managerial experience and/or competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level.

Current USA Swimming Coaching Certification is preferred.
* Willingness to learn relevant computer systems and gain additional swim certifications as requested and supported by the team.

* Current clearances information required for FBI, PSP and Child Abuse.
* Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
* Expertise with current technique development and training methodologies.
*
Ability to work with all age groups.
* Enthusiastic and highly motivated team player.

Compensation:
  ACWS offers competitive compensation based on qualifications and coaching time commitment; approximately $10-17 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Head Coach - Part Time Shippensburg Aquatic Club

The Shippensburg Aquatic Club is seeking a Head Coach for its year-round swim club. The club has been providing local youth with an opportunity to participate in a competitive aquatics program for over 30 years. The club is a member of the CASL summer swimming league as well as regularly attending USA meets.

This is a 12-20 hour/week position, plus weekend meet hours, scheduled to start immediately.  Interested parties should submit a cover letter and resume to Chris Heberlig, President of the Shippensburg Aquatic Club.

Head Coach- Part Time Lebanon Valley Family YMCA

Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the swim team coach manages the swim team in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the YMCA of the USA, USA swimming and the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA. Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for swim team participants. Attends all swim meet and team functions throughout the year as well as being responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for members and participants. Bachelor’s Degree preferred and current lifeguard certification necessary as well as 2 years competitive coaching experience. Salary range:  $27,000 to $30,000 per year.
